"How did you get started on this business?" is the one question I always get asked. It simply started one bad hair day! I was at the OC County fair and I stumbled upon a wig booth. Tried on some pieces and was surprised to walk away with my very first wig! I gave it a spin. A little apprehensive at first, I wore it just around the house. Gained a little more confidence, I wore it to work, to parties, to girls-night-outs and suddenly realized I have extra time on my hands! More time to do things I love instead of being in front of the mirror straightening, blow drying and styling my hair. It was freedom! I got so many compliments that I found myself taking my family and friends who were intrigued with my new fascination to local wig shops. I later on realized that a wig is no longer just for bald people - it has become part of my daily wardrobe and is perfect for busy multi-tasker like me. For a person who has very thick and hard to manage hair, this is heaven sent! Little did I know, on the other side of the spectrum, there are women who wished they had thicker hair, women who suffer from hairloss. thinning and balding can take advantage of the same solution! I knew I have an important message to convey and was determined to change people's perception on wigs and hairpieces. It brought me to My Wig Studio, a small company I founded back in 2009 and it has been an amazing journey ever since! I gained so many friends from around the world! #womenempowerment #selfconfidence
